…taking some time to reflect upon my week…
:: my son…as he resisted, fought, and finally accepted the writing of a five paragraph essay…then emerged proud and victorious
:: my daughter…reading and re-reading this…then asking for *more* shakespeare
:: hanging the surprise gift of a christmas wreath on our front door; eating the surprise gift of freshly baked bread…i am so lucky to have such generous friends
:: the creamy-colored moon outside my window the past few nights…a waxing gibbous
:: a morning game of jenga…30 levels before it crashed! and the sweet new rule created by my six year old daughter: whoever makes the tower topple gets a kiss {so he/she doesn’t feel bad about causing said topple}
:: making sure we have the necessary ingredients on hand to bake one of our favorite kinds of cookies…a treat to share with grandparents coming into town this weekend {my daughter has been asking to make these for weeks, maybe months??}
:: turning the calendar page to december…there’s a bit of magic in the air
here’s hoping you enjoyed some special moments in the course of your week…
sending a little love your way, m
