taking some time to reflect upon my week…
:: homemade bread
:: cool spring breezes
:: cuddling on the sofa with my children
:: reading aloud to my children…i’m going to miss these days once they declare themselves too old for ‘read-alouds’
:: writing a daily poem and sharing it with a circle of friends…did you know april is national poetry month???
:: always returning to this quote:
peace. it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or
hard work. it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in
your heart. (unknown)
:: fresh produce in all its forms
hoping you enjoyed special moments in your week. feel free to share some moments or link to your blog in the comments section.
sending a little love your way, m
i’ve had an itch to make bread now for awhile, perhaps this weekend i will, it’s supposed to be rainy and cool. i love this photo…it so sums up the word “home” for me.
k and i read a chapter of harry potter every night in her bed. we’re on the goblet of fire and i love doing the accents. ems reads all the time on her own, but we still take turns reading calvin & hobbes comics to each other.
i’m with you i never want them to grow too old to read.
silly. No one grows out of being read to. I don’t care what my age is, I still shove the book towards my husband ask him to read. And he simply won’t do, I whip up youtube to hear segments of Harry Potter. I can’t help it.
…don’t share that last confession with anyone.
oh, mum’s the word on that confession. totally.
I love all the things in your post. In fact, our moment is right up your alley! After a short break, we finally picked up another share from our CSA… http://sofiasideas.com/2012/04/13/this-moment-61/
