taking some time to reflect upon my week…
:: my daughter watering the garden one morning this week…winter coat {unnecessary, mind you}, my rain boots, jammies
:: the way my son and daughter held hands in the grocery store during this week’s trip…melted my heart
:: cancer…so many of us know someone facing this challenge…it’s insidious and so very sad
:: my daughter {who usually complains about math} lighting up as she began a new chapter which introduced fractions…”did you ever have a liking for fractions?” she asked me with a smile
:: my son taking charge of assembling his new loft bed…he was the one explaining some things to me
:: love notes
:: the daily opportunities to hold beauty right in the palm of my hand…be it bloom, freshly baked bread, or my child’s hand…always filling my heart to overflowing

love the first photo, boots and coat and all. My kids are home for the summer and the chaos starts-all in a good kind of way. The house is very quiet without them.
