taking some time to reflect upon my week…
:: our first two pumpkins have come in…seems early, but the kids are pretty pleased. sitting on the kitchen table, the morning light streams in through the front windows and makes them nearly glow
:: a morning walk with the kids…a quiet neighborhood…a little prelude to schoolwork
:: curry noodles…serious yum
:: our next-door neighbors’ son is in a rock band…the other night they recorded a video, pretty much right outside our bedroom window…my husband and i actually liked the song…but it was the same song…over and over…and over. till midnight
:: tired
:: sometimes i stopped what i was doing and just kissed {and hugged} these two…just because
:: changing rhythms in our days…the summer was fun and days were open-ended…but i quite like the rhythms we’re falling into as a new [home]school year gets underway
:: swimming with friends
:: spending a little time with colored pencils, ink, paper
::finishing up the poem it out workshop with liz lamoreux…in a word, lovely
:: certain rhythms remain steady…laundry, cooking, cleaning…tasks that do not define me, but gently remind me where i am in my days
:: some delightful emails in my inbox these days
i’m hoping you enjoyed some special moments in your week. would you like to share?
sending a little love your way, m
I can’t believe you have such wonderful pumpkins already.
Colored pencils and watercolors are my fav! xxO
Gorgeous shots, as always Michelle and a wonderful week. This was the last full week of the summer holidays for us, so my 19 year old son and I baked and my 17 year old coloured her hair, just to have it turn it the same as it was naturally and my youngest is as she always is.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Lynn
That pumpkin really does seem to glow! Love the way you put this post together.
Just look at that pumpkin! The pumpkins being grown by my son’s class have some serious catching up to do! Wishing you a wonderful weekend, and a great [home] school year ahead.
What a wonderful compilation!
I’m loving all your posts about noticing the moments! Life is so much fuller when we take the time to be aware of the moments…
