:: noticing the moments ::

taking some time to reflect upon my week…

:: pausing and looking down at what lies by my feet…green leaves washed with autumn’s red…reflections of the larger world in the roundest drop of water

:: waiting for the kids while they were in a class and wishing i was sitting in a coffee shop…instead, i was sitting in the car because i had the puppy with me…but then she went to sleep…and i embraced the moment by pulling out my art books and journal…i felt the quiet around me, felt the cool breeze blow through the open window, felt the satisfaction of putting pen to paper

:: continued love for this puppy

:: loving how much the kids love this puppy {a.lot.}

:: slowly working on setting up an etsy shop…quite a simple process…but i’m getting hung up on the steps which precede that {i.e. tax id number, registering the business with the state, etc.}…doubts creep in…and i remind myself to take one step, then another, and then another

:: baking bread…it always soothes me

what about you…how was your week?

sending a little love your way, m

  1. what a soothing place to visit – your puppy’s face is an excellent way to greet the day. best wishes with opening your Etsy shop; you’re wise to chunk the process down into baby steps. I especially like the colors in the first photo that’s delicious. happy Sunday to you.

  2. Can’t get enough of your puppy photos … she is just so adorable! Mmmm, bread baking … my son’s class baked 30+ loaves of bread last week for the school’s harvest lunch – the school must have smelled heavenly all day! And, so excited to hear about the pending etsy shop … you know I will be a visitor, and a buyer!

  3. a crazy week that got the better of me but there is a pint of ben and jerry’s chocolate therapy in my freezer waiting (not so patiently) for the kids to go to bed ;-)

    ps: we are both self-employed. paperwork is no fun but the other perks, all good!

  4. I am so glad to hear your find bread baking soothing, so do I ; there is something about kneading bread, putting it in pans and covering it with a cloth to wait while it rises that touches my soul.
    I am thrilled for you in setting up your shop and can’t wait to visit. I know all the little details are a pain, we are self employed,but there really is a wonderful sense of accomplishment to it all.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  5. Don’t be scared. Baby steps with the etsy shop. I know you can do it. I love your pup and I haven’t even been formally introduced face to face!! I love how you embraced the moment while in the car. Those are the moments I find that last forever in my heart.
