it’s the little things…
:: the way fading blooms on the hydrangea bush gently transition me from one season to another.
:: the way, each night, the last words exchanged between me and my daughter are ‘sweetie dreamies’. once these words have been uttered, if any conversation follows {if she wakes in the middle of the night}, these words must be spoken again. every night ends for her, for me with ‘sweetie dreamies’.
:: the way my son embraces a new violin piece, the way he is sparked by challenge.
:: the way my husband reads every blog entry that i post. he is an engineering kind of guy. this is not an engineering kind of space. yet he reads. because it is me.
:: the way i find peace in photography and the written word.
:: the way one day rolls into the next. no matter how fantastic or how disastrous a day is, there will always be a new one. there are always new beginnings.
i wish you oodles and oodles of little things…they’re so very good.
sending a little love your way, m
“sweetie dreams”, how lovely. A beautiful list of small things that make a huge lifetime of love.
Love it! But this time, your stories even more than the picture …
I love your hydrangea photo! It is one of my favourite flowers.
new beginnings are so very good.
thanks for your beautiful words.
Michelle, I know when I stop by here for a visit I am going to leave with my heart touched, and once again you have done that with your beautiful words. It really is the little things isn’t it?
How sweet that he reads your blog! My daughter reads mine and sometimes my son pops in once in a while. I don’t think my husband has, yet. My little things: snuggles from my dog, the changing leaves, hot coffee, blank page and a fantastic gel pen :)
Lovely post! I just finished cutting the hydrangea bushes for my mom…if only I could take the blossoms home with me!
There are always new beginnings ~ **love this**
It’s the little things that slay me. Yours are so full of beauty. xo
