:: noticing the moments ::

taking some time to reflect upon my week…

:: camping in the backyard over the weekend…a campfire {yes, of course we made s’mores}…loved how the kids set up my husband’s and my sleeping spaces, complete with snuggle buddies

:: hosting a giveaway this week has been so much fun!  reading everyone’s comments which include favorite comfort foods brought smile after smile to my face…and made me hungry!  {p.s. it’s not too late to enter}

:: our poor little pup had a reaction to a vaccine received this week.  she was pathetically droopy and in such pain.  the kids and i were heartbroken for her.  our vet quickly gave her something to counter the reaction and by the time my husband arrived home from work, she was back to normal.  but those hours in between…oh, the love we hold for our pets

:: watching someone i love dearly endure extreme stress in the workplace…wanting to help but knowing there is nothing i can do…except to open my ears and heart

:: enjoying the birds at our feeders…it’s because of the kids that feeders are even hung…but i reap rewards as well

:: a walk with the kids and puppy…collecting leaves…coming home to rub them…autumn therapy

:: leaves…the flitting of some, the hanging on of others…everywhere, the changes

:: breakfast for dinner

:: the words below from my daughter…she knows i keep quotes in a special journal…lately she’s been crafting her own quotes {you’ve got to admire her self-confidence, quoting herself!} and keeping them in a special notebook…she made me a little quote note like i made for some of you last winter…warms my heart {p.s. are you interested in quote notes again in the new year?!}

how was your week?

sending a little love your way, m

  1. Such a sweet photo from inside your backyard tent. Breakfast for dinner … sometimes, it’s just a must. And, your daughter … creative, inspiring and wise … please let her know that her words are just beautiful. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

  2. Love that your daughter writes her own quotes and love what she wrote here…it might have to go in to my quote journal too. :) Glad your puppy is better and love your snuggle buddies. Have a lovely weekend.

  3. I love your daughter’s quote! She seems to already be comfortable expressing herself and so creative :) Poor poor puppy! I hope future shots do not do this. I hope you have a lovely weekend that is joyful.

  4. Dearest Michelle, It is nice to know someone else keeps a notebook of quotes, I have kept one for years and love sitting down with a cup of tea to read pages and pages of beautiful words. Your daughter’s quote is lovely and going in my book.
    Breakfast for dinner? Oh yes!

  5. Your daughter is clearly taking after you in her creativity and skill with language – she already knows how to make her words sing!
