taking some time to reflect upon my week…
:: casting my vote, kiddos at my side…every four years, i feel a little rush when i leave the voting station…my freedom to cast that vote, my privilege to contribute to the democratic state of this country, the u.s.of.a. it’s pretty cool.
:: singing christmas songs with my daughter {she gets the whole early christmas song thing}
:: my sister and her family traveling to visit me and my family to celebrate election night…a bit of a tradition we’ve got going…4 elections running. there was dinner and wine and conversation/debate and mississippi mud pie and nail-biting and late hours and cousins playing and sisters catching up.
:: sharing a bit of christina rosalie with you in yesterday’s post…and all your wonderful comments about your nows…oh, it’s all just so good. if you wish to enter the giveaway, there’s till time!
:: my son is completely engrossed in this book right now. coming home yesterday, he sat down on the sofa with shoes, coat, and hat still on and began reading fervently. love that.
:: while my son is engrossed in a book, my daughter is writing her own. love that too.
:: so much is swirling in my head these days…things i want to do. the swirling is making me dizzy and i feel myself stalling and i know i just need to do one thing at a time but i am stuck. i know i will un-stick but right now, as i type this, i feel pretty stuck.
:: carpets of leaves on the ground…when i walk through the leaves and i hear the crunch, i smile.
how was your week?
sending a little love your way, m
the week was great overall, with a little sadness sprinkled in for losing a pet. i hear you about swirling–and despite swirling still feeling stuck sometimes…I only know to push through, there is always a light at the end, even if we can’t see it :)….much love to you Michelle!!

OH, the leaves are beautiful…
My son loves those books too. Have you seen The Brotherband Chronicles by John Flanagan? Another great series.
Nothing like crunchy leaves underfoot and a chill in the air!
Enjoy the day my friend.
I hope you put your to dos on paper and get every single one done! I loved when my two kids were engrossed in books. I kind of like it for myself too. Have a lovely weekend :)
