i am grateful.
:: oatmeal parties…which include jammies, twinkle lights, brown sugar, pure maple syrup, cinnamon, milk, almond slivers…no pretenses…just a warm beginning to a november day
:: a mid-morning walk where leaves were crunched, faces were lifted to the sun, moods were restored
:: a ball of yarn waiting…a few minutes with crochet hook in hand…the start of a hat
:: the late afternoon sunlight shining on hardwood floors, desktops, walls

I got stuck on the word “twinkle lights” I think I need some in this house !!
Beautiful photos Michelle.
One of my son’s is sitting on the couch eating oatmeal right now, it’s a staple here.
I think any day that includes yarn is a great day.

I am grateful for the parallel achievements of my two youngest children, close in age, who sometimes battle it out for victory over daily tasks. But last night, at gymnastics, two little lithe bodies executed forward flips without the touch of the spotter, and we had peace and harmony in the car ride home.
