:: noticing the moments ::

taking some time to reflect upon my week…

:: two kiddos under the weather…fortunately it’s nothing serious…and it is affording us extra slow days with lots of reading and cuddling and hot drinks and muffins

:: sitting with questions and doubts and wonderings and dreams…sometimes it’s good to just sit

:: early in the week, we had a ridiculously unseasonably warm day…it called for a picnic lunch…my daughter dubbed the scene cafe le yard…fun except for the part(s) where the puppy kept trying to eat our food

:: christmas lights strung outside…christmas tree decorated inside…everything is twinkly and bright and cozy…yes, i like cozy

:: i’ve mentioned in past posts how much my kids love the music of les miserables…well, lucky us…the show is coming to washington, d.c. and we’ve bought tickets…merry christmas to us!

:: opening my etsy shop this week…thank you to each and every one of you who reached out with warm words {here, email, and on IG}…wow, did that feel good

:: crocheting something other than a washcloth or scarf…i’m a wee bit proud of myself

hoping your found moments in your week.  any you’d like to share???

sending a little love your way, m

  1. I am sending you healthy wishes that everyone feels better. We live in a little town so when we see les mis on the 27th (matinee?) it will be nearly empty, just the way we like it. I cannot wait for that film to be out!

    1. Oh! I’m talking about the movie! There is no way a theater production would come near my town. I so wish i could fit into your pocket and go to your show!

  2. Lovely post, glad to hear your children are on the mend. Enjoying your shared moments. Love the hat, have not crocheted in years but I would love to make one these – is it your own pattern? Looks very much more than for a beginner, beautiful texture and colours.

    1. oh, helen, i almost had to laugh at the thought of the hat being made from my own pattern! i couldn’t even begin to make a pattern!!!!! the whole hat is made with single crochet stitches. if you’re interested, i could send you the pattern. i promise it is *so* easy. that little ruffle at the edge makes all the difference {and pretty yarn!}.

  3. So many lovely things rolled into one post Michelle.
First I have to say that I hope your babies are feeling better , being sick is no fun especially when it’s warm out.
How lucky to get tickets to the Les Miserables show. I remember seeing my first live show while I was in high school, Evita was playing in DC and it was fantastic.
I think your crocheted hat looks awesome. Did you just learn to crochet? My mom and grandmother crocheted and they tried to teach me with no luck.
    Enjoy the weekend!

    1. tracey,
thank you the healthy wishes for my babes…a few more days of pajamas and rest will hopefully do the trick!

as for crochet…i’ve known how to crochet for a few years, but don’t do it much. i’m still very much a beginner :)
