my kiddos have been busy elfing around here. here’s a peek at their most recent project…
step one: they painted paper to make covers for the jar lids. {fun}
step two: they unwrapped candy canes and pounded them with a rolling pin. then they spooned the crushed candy canes into 4 oz jelly jars. {loud}
step three: they opened a bag of mini marshmallows and sneakily ate a few. then they poured them into 4 oz jelly jars. {yummy}
step four: they made hot chocolate mix and poured it into glass pint jars.{very.messy}
here’s our current favorite and very simple recipe:
3 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups unsweetened cocoa
1 tablespoon salt
*for each cup of warmed milk or milk substitute, add 2 tablespoons of hot chocolate mix
fun + loud + yummy + very.messy = two kids proud of the gifts they’ve made + one mama proud of the kids
sending a little love your way, m
p.s. playing along with bella over at 52 photos project.
Now that is a gift I would really enjoy!
Thank you for sharing, sweet lady. xo
