taking some time to reflect upon my week…
:: playing a board game, the four of us…so fun, except monopoly is the longest game ever {does anyone even play this game?!}…when i went bankrupt, i was quite happy to take some pictures instead
:: a brand new furnace to keep us warm…we spent a few days with the constant hum of space heaters, for which i was very grateful to a certain friend for borrowing…when my daughter turned off those space heaters, i couldn’t believe how beautiful the silence was {and then my kids put an end to that, ahem}
:: there have been lots of grey days around here…the sun on wednesday was incredible
:: i remember the mom of a good girlfriend growing up…for her lunches, this mom would throw random leftovers into a skillet, mix it all up, and voila…i find myslef doing that these days…the other day, it was leftover soup + kale + leftover beans…mmmmmm
:: incredibly honored that a generous friend in my life {someone with whom i’ve connected online} recently purchased some of my girls…it’s hard to put into words how touched i am by the response i get from these girls…gerri was so sweet to mention me and my illustrations in her calming corner of the blogosphere…have a peek!
:: skyping with this terrific woman who i am honored to call friend
:: okay, my desk is officially out-of-hand messy…did you catch the picture last week?…so, i declare here and now, that this is the week to clean up a bit and get organized…i will post here next week as proof of task accomplished {you don’t know it, but you are going to help hold me accountable!}
:: an old polaroid of someone who passed away nearly thirty years ago, propped up on my {very messy} desk…i am captivated lately by his visage, searching for stories in his eyes {he is…my dad}
:: our amaryllis bulbs…there’s not much to say…they’re blooming and they’re beautiful
and how about you? did you catch any moments in your week?
sending a little love your way, m
I am happy to have found your blog. Your simple, thoughtful ways of sharing both in words and pictures are touching and engaging. Thank you.
I love Monopoly, but I am a sucker for board games in general (try Ticket to Ride, way faster than Monopoly).

Yay for a new furnace!!!
Oh, and Monopoly is huge in our family. My brother and I had a 2 day long game once…
I always enjoy reading your moments xo
My babies all love to play board games, Monopoly being number one.
My flowers just faded and now I am left with the stalk, doesn’t even compare to the flowers that graced us last week.
Glad your girls are finding loving homes, you are very talented.
I loved reading about your week, Michelle! xo
You’re not the only one to be happy to lose games :) It’s exhausting! When the kids were little I would cheat to lose. Very hard to do. I hope you have a lovely weekend!
I really do love reading about your moments. And the polaroid photo…tears! Much love…Melissa xo
Your moments are always so lovely.
Amaryllis is one of my favorite flowers.
Happy weekend, love. xo
