we were out in the newly-weeded {thank you very much} garden yesterday getting seeds in the ground. mixed greens, mustard greens, arugula, chard. summer squashes, carrots, cucumbers. i will never get over the miracle of these itty bitty things transforming into food that will nourish our bodies. pure magic, i tell you.
i also opened the compost bin yesterday to have a look at its contents. now i know some of you are seasoned gardeners out there. i, on the other hand, am very much a beginner. last summer was the first time i ever attempted to compost. and do you know what i found inside the bin? compost…it worked! more magic.
