in the middle in the clearing in the woods
stands a flower singly
petals of crimson
passersby gaze
check field guide and with each other
have never seen a bloom like this
they move on
the flower stands solitary
yet with surety
not minding her absence in the guide
she roots herself
in the middle in the clearing in the woods
without label or identification
and thrives
sending a little love your way, m
