taking some time to reflect upon my week…
:: sitting outside while the kids ran about on a cold, october afternoon…looking up
:: visiting with friends we’ve not seen in a while…smiles all around
:: making homemade dog biscuits for the dog next door…which meant that our pup got some too…she was pretty happy about that
:: trying to fold laundry with the pup snuggled in my lap…not easy…but, really, it’s not as if i could ask such cuteness to move
:: holding steady with the poetry challenge i set for myself this year (writing one poem each day)…today will be 298…so gratifying to watch the numbers grow and pages fill
:: snuggling in bed with my girl who was having trouble sleeping…listening to her breathing slow, feeling my breathing slow…then falling asleep together
:: sweeping the floors (hang on, the good part is coming)…my son helping my daughter with her schoolwork
i’m hoping your week was filled with good bits too. i’d love to hear about them…
sending a little love your way, m
a poem a day is something i have often thought about yet never begun. I really admire you for doing it and sticking with it – that’s so awesome.
those cookies look good to me to eat (snicker) but I won’t. Wow, your challenge is coming along-I’m sure you’ve made it a habit and now it would feel weird to not write a poem.
I’ve been writing daily in my journal and in another notebook and love that sense of accomplishment, meeting a goal.
Freeze that moment of siblings helping each other out, that’s priceless!!
