a little inspirational image + quote for you, followed by a prompt. to simply read. to explore with words or paint. to capture in a photograph of your own. to consider while you walk or sip or breathe. take it. allow it to seep into your consciousness. go, dearest…
now consider this: **can you experience joy today in an unexpected place?**
sending a little love your way, m

I work hard each day to find a way to look at thing that upset me in a new way. You have helped me want to do this. You have helped me understand it is often just a matter of changing the way we look at things. xoxoo
cathy, it’s such an honor to read your words…thank you for this.
and keep on with what you’re doing. i see your glimpses on your blog and IG and you’re walking through your life beautifully. xo
After the day I spent I couldn’t agree more. I sat next to my husband and granddaughter today and watched my son in love graduate from NCO school [Army]. I am so thankful I had that moment, it’s something I will always cherish. This whole week that I spent with Emerson while John has been in school and my daughter Erin has been in Kansas City for work has been more than I could have dreamed of, it’s been moments of pure joy!
Have a great weekend Michelle.
so happy to hear of all this goodness in your life tracey…and that you’re catching it all. so good.
happy weekend to you!
I love this thought + it makes life feel a lot more enjoyable, and less goal-focused. Going to ponder this…
caitlin, it’s a gentler perspective, i think. because, as you said, there gets to be a focus on goals – which is all fine and good, to a certain point. but then the in-betweens get lost.
i for one am keen on the in-betweens.
and, really, it’s not an either/or…just a slight reframing.
I try hard to focus on the now and the happy moments any situation can give. I think I’ve become better with age, and journalling as helped fine tune the focus.
age has helped me in this department too. definitely. xo
I don’t know.. the whole island is covered in smoke from nearby wildfires. made for a pretty spectacular sunset. does that count?
have a wonderful weekend xo
totally counts, petra. though i’m so sorry to hear about the wildfires. be safe.
and wishing a wonderful weekend to you xo
