  1. neither of my kids played jacks and if I remember correctly my sister and I didn’t either. Now puzzles were a big big hit! Love the slippers and like you I wear them all the time in the house, so cozy :)

  2. those slippers look so perfectly comfortable and those jacks! wow, have not played that game since I was little. I can’t even remember how to? Is it like this, bounce ball pick up one, bounce ball pick up two, bounce ball pick up three? Sort of? It’s what I think I remember. Also has me thinking of Chinese checkers, I used to play that with my great grandpa…can’t even begin to think how that one works. Look! You just took me back to a really great place. Thanks:)

    1. yes! that’s one variation! you do remember!!!
you know…i never played chinese checkers. i can’t believe that i’m typing that. how have i never played??
i love that you just went back in time…and brought me/us along. thank *you*!

  3. Grateful to start the day with piles of laundry from our trip. Grateful to have woken up in my own bed, with my orange house tiger purring on my chest where he belongs.

  4. waking up at 5:20 am, making a cup of tea, and reading your post to start my day – the things I’m grateful for as I look out my dark window and see a dusting of snow on the ground!
