Some random things.
I’ve tried so many kinds of lip balm and am often disappointed.
(what? me, picky?) These are my very favorite.
In years past I’ve chosen a word that helps me set intention and direction for a coming year. Whether or not you do the same, Liz has a beautiful offering that supports this practice. Have a look.
The latest issue of Mabel is now available. My copy just arrived the other day and I couldn’t wait to dig in. It’s like sitting with an old friend. And I’m so pleased to be sharing a few of my photographs within these pages.
It’s not easy being genuine. Have a read here. (thanks, A) And then read this. (thanks, P)
Last weekend, we got together with a few families. My friend made this sangria.
(I drank it.) (No, not all of it.) Yum. Here’s another sangria I’d like to try.
When it’s cold outside, I lovelovelove soup. This is one of my favorites (scroll down for recipe).
And, if you enjoy washing dishes like me, this dish soap will make you like it even more. And if you hate washing dishes, well, try this soap; it just might make you enjoy it a wee bit more. I look forward to this scent every year. (I know, I really live on the edge.)
All the love, m
Look I’m still Jeremy…sigh…who am I to define the technology gods? Anyway, might we be soul sisters bound by soap? Dr. Bonner’s peppermint is my morning shower and Dr. Bonner’s lavender in my night time shower; not that I take two a day, some days I kind of forget to take any, what with the washing of diapers (Green Rock) and dishes (you guessed it, Meyers). Ordering lip balm for hubby. You should be an amazon affiliate. My foster parent organization, It Takes an ‘Ohana, is and so anytime anyone orders from amazon through their link, a percentage goes to the non-profit. Still thankful for you and your writings/inspirations.
Jamie (not Jeremy) I’ll email you about the sign-in thing.
And smiling at the soap soul sisters!!! How funny!
Hope your hubby likes the lip balm…I hate to hype something up, but this stuff is really good!
As for amazon affiliate…I looked that up a long while ago but never followed through. Perhaps I should revisit that. Thank you!
I know you will cringe when I say chapstick is my favorite, I know it’s not a good thing to use but it’s the only one that keeps me from biting my lips. go figure. however I do keep trying to find something that is not petroleum based.
I only cringed a very tiny bit ;)
xo
Oh such good links! I didn’t know Dr Bronner did lip balm, and yay! I can get them here! Love to you. xoxo
I didn’t know either, until a few months ago. it’s good stuff!
and so glad you can get it over there!
p.s. #2 congrats on the photo in Mabel x
thank you, sweet Jane!
What a fun post-full of good stuff-and congrats on gracing the inside of Mabel
I hope you’ll have fun clicking around, Kelly. and thanks for the congratulations! xx
Enjoyed your list of random things. I have a few new blogs to read because of this list.
I use the Tropical Traditions dish soap and add essential oils to it. One of my favorites is Rosemary.
My daughter is a lip balm freak. Can not be without it. I think she uses Chapstick but I will let her know about this lip balm or maybe I will just put it in her Christmas stocking. :)
Have a beautiful day!!
I’m glad you enjoyed these random bits, Janet! enjoy the reading!
Tropical Traditions sounds nice…will have to look that up. and rosemary? oh yes!

oh good…I’m so glad!!
I have quite a random mind, so I love this kind of post. The lip balm looks lovely. A favourite of mine is Burt’s Bees lip balm, it is great…http://www.burtsbees.co.uk/ My son gets very dry lips in the Winter months and it works a treat. Have a lovely day, Michelle xx p.s. lovely image x
my mind is quite random as well, Jane ;)
I used to use Burt’s Bees! Dr. Bronner’s (in my opinion) is even better!!
(and thank you for the photo love)
hope you have a lovely day too! x
Thank you for being so positive in a world that seems to be nothing but negative right now. We should all try to say/do/think more like this at least once every day. Maybe things will start to change in the world as we change ourselves, one by one.
thank you for your kind words, Kathy. you really have touched my heart (sending a virtual hug to you).
and I believe (so much) that the world can change if we work on ourselves and our little corners of the world. yesyesyes. x
