:: Noticing the Moments ::

Taking some time to reflect upon my week…

:: eating lots of these mandarins…wanting to not eat them too quickly because they look pretty on the counter…but eating them quickly

:: enjoying the springtime temperatures…walks, a bike ride with the kids, a short sit on the front porch

:: reading this book…admiring her even more than I already did

:: buying tulips that stay in the house for now…knowing they will get planted outside later

:: helping my daughter work on a literature essay…she grumbled through most of the process…but the finished essay was pleasing to us both (okay, more pleasing to me) (she was just glad to be done)

:: starting a sinus infection…ugh…getting egg drop soup from the Chinese restaurant in town because that comforts me when I’m not feeling well

:: appreciating all of YOU so much…I loved (a lot) the conversation that followed

:: meditating…just for short bits…but it helps me so much

:: learning from this pup who settles in wherever she is…she’s wise…and awfully cute

How has your week been?  What have you noticed, felt, done?  I’d love to hear.

  2. Goodness! Friday seems as tho’ it was decades ago! But it was a good day, filled with many lovely moments…and I love that pooch. So sweet!
    Cheers~

  3. Good Morning!
I’m getting used to your Friday’s posts! They are adding a drop of pleasure to my morning coffee! :)
Can’t wait to place my flowers outdoors for the fresh spring air.
I’m starting back to full-time work this month. It hasn’t been easy! Not for the work, but for being close to people all day, do you know how I like solitude, being quiet in my own space? People can be so manipulative, I’ve to read between lines to understand the meaning of the words, after a few events this week I’ve got the feeling I can’t trust anyone in there.
I’m still making time for myself early mornings, but the daily stress isn’t good for me. Thanks for this post, a reminding me of grounding, and I should pay more attention to it before things get out of control. Have a great weekend my friend!

    1. I’m glad you’re enjoying the Friday posts, Elizabeth!
I can imagine how difficult it might be to make that transition to full-time work again, being around people when you’re accustomed to (and enjoy) more solitude. Hugs on that, and hoping the communication issues ease.
And good for you, making that early morning time for yourself…it might not change the circumstances of your day, but it will absolutely shape your perspective on things and keep you connected to self.
I hope you have a great weekend too!
