Two Roses…and Sun…and Singing Birds

What I want to tell you is that some days feel like all the rest.  But that’s not always the case.  Some days are extra-ordinary, even now (especially now?).

What I want to tell you is that I almost cancelled my recent run of Just Five Things.  But I didn’t.  And I’m glad. The participants were ridiculously amazing.  The class felt more intense than usual, but intense in a good (and healing) way.

What I want to tell you is that we have blackberry blossoms at the edge of our back yard.  I don’t remember them blooming there before.

What I want to tell you is that my daughter and I took our pup for a walk yesterday.  We came home with two roses.  There are kind people everywhere.

What I want to tell you is that stepping outside one’s comfort zone is really, um, uncomfortable.  But it’s usually worth it.

What I want to tell you is that I’m learning (from experience and feedback) that I’m good at holding space for others.  This holding space is part of what makes my online offerings special.  It’ll never be about large class size.  It’ll always be about intimate space where people can be heard, seen, witnessed.  My next inspiration is taking this to a new (to me) level.

What I want to tell you is that the sun is shining right now and the birds are singing.

What I want to tell you is that I don’t understand hate. It makes my heart hurt.

What I want to tell you is that the sun is shining right now and the birds are singing and I came home with two roses yesterday.  I know I already told you that, but I thought it worth repeating.

Is there something you want to tell me??

sending a little love your way, m

P.S.  If you want to explore freeform writing in an intimate space, Write Your Heart might be for you.  Hop over here to have a look + see.  Just a few spots left, and I’m closing enrollment soon.  Thanks in advance for having a look.

  1. I want to tell you that I’m very glad you didn’t cancel Just Five Things! I was very happy to be able to participate–it felt like a respite in the middle of a world gone mad.

    1. Helena, I’m glad I didn’t either! I’m so glad you were there with us for that gathering…and very glad it felt like a respite. That’s perfect. xo

  2. What I want to tell you is that I finally want a future for myself, after a lifetime of thinking my job was to help other people find their own.
